Pause to consider this, do you have free will? Did you just exercise it to read this sentence. Very well, I am happy for you. I just hope you have the will to will too. Quite confusing? We shall soon find out.
As a species off late, we have lost our authenticity. Slowly, we are morphing into one single type of human, who perceive events in the exact same way, raise questions on the same topics, and stay silent in the face of the same atrocities. Its true, Great minds think alike, but also that fools rarely think at all. Where do you stand? To quote our favourite Chemistry teacher - Herd Mentality.
This page may not necessarily be an accurate news source, though every factual statement will be objectively verified, links to sources will be added too, when appropriate. However, the primary idea of this is to ask the reader and the author, some unconventional questions and receive reasoned answers. So please, get uncomfortable.
An example of perspective: watching reels, memes, we all enjoy it. It's bloody brilliant entertainment. But have you ever observed someone else watch reels with their sound on? You wonder, surely, I don't look that idiotic when I do it. Ya do mate, the weird asf laugh track, the obvious twerking music, a couple of phonk/ hype videos, a handful of regional comedy reels, a few on skibidi or sigma, the usual brainrot, reels then laughing at brainrot (Damn, how does he know? - Yea, that’s what I mean by morphing lads) and then you stop when either you reach the destination, or worse, when the internet lags. I had the privilege of watching this phenomenon recently, so I deleted all socials temporarily, so that I may have the will to will again.
May thy brainrot chip, and shatter.
If you don't like what we're saying, that’s the single best reason to continue reading this page. Because we don't state opinions as facts, there is always the enabled comments section. If you can prove us wrong, no one is happier than us, but use your words, not your fists, and use reason, and not volume. Anyone may be wrong, but we believe in fighting for each persons right, to be wrong. This is a platform for free expression, as allowed by the constitution. If you think we have violated your rights, write to us in detail, I can assure you we don't mean to offend, so I hope you will have the respect to reciprocate.
A slight detour before resuming, being offended does not make you right, because being offended is about feelings, and feelings are personal. (Ricky Gervais) Objectively, no one cares if you're offended, touch grass mate. And if you are, ask yourself if you are that narrow-minded that you cannot possibly understand that another opinion exists, one worth considering. (If you're old its fine, I don't blame you, Out of respect for your age I'll let it slide, be offended, good luck). Anyone else, if you still choose to be sourer than milk left in the open for a weekend, I hope it serves you well. Back on course now.
This authors of this page, do not believe in extremism or rigid brackets of any kind, one of the core founding principles of this page, is this balance. We understand there are several people with rational, even sensible political, socio-economic opinions, but are constantly guided into one faction or another, and the free thinkers society loses another member. We are here to hopefully create a safe space for expression and interaction, with something meaningful coming out of it eventually. You can be a supporter of various policies on opposite sides of the political and economic spectrum and still hold your own, as you should, choose not persons, but choose policy, and only when someone fits that description, should you vote for them, unless you're ok being played as a puppet in a vote bank, then by all means, I fare you well.
This page serves to initiate a dialogue, while political criticism will take the forefront at times, for we believe, the people of the world, never signed an agreement waiving their right to a decent government. Do you remember signing a declaration stating, "We the people of Earth, solemnly swear to always vote for the lesser of two evils, the one I hate least. I mean, he is the only one that makes sense, given there is no one competent on the other side. I shall vote for the more united appearing party. So help me god".
No? - Yea me neither.
We have learnt to have expectations from the government, not for ourselves, consider this in public interest. Most people cannot speak about these topics, so we choose to. I do not mean to end this on an ominous note, but we are nearing mortal peril. What took the earth millions of years to create, we have the unprecedented power to destroy in a second. After millenniums of evolution in technology, we have been confined to a screen, worse than a dog to its leash. (I sound a bit like your mom don’t I right now). After centuries of free expression, we choose to rage over trifles, while the actual issues get overlooked. Its fascinating, how easily human will can be bent with a story. It is appalling at how easily we can be made to hate and commit violence.
This page will host all types of content shortly, from social observation stories, from various cities of India, critical analysis of public and international policy, debates within the same article as we may not always think alike. Hell, the authors themselves don't agree on a vast number of topics. There may be answers to problems, but more importantly, questions worth considering.
We too, are here to tell a story, not just one really, any story worth telling, and quite frankly, we do want to bend your will. But the place we hope to take all of us, is one of equality, liberty and fraternity. This is our cry for help, an attempt at world peace, human rights and civilized society. By the power vested in us by the Constitution, Guided by the great thinkers of the past, our gaze firmly on a sustainable future, we welcome you to The Free Thinkers Society.
Sincerely,
Sagar and Pavanaj
P.S. If you made it to here, the answer is yes. You do have the will to will after all, there may yet be hope for humanity.
